DOT NUMBER
A DOT number is a number unique to you that is issued by the Department of Transportation. Most trucker's are required to have a DOT number, we can help you through the process of applying and getting your vehicle registered.
You are required to have a DOT number if you have a Commercial Vehicle with a gross weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more and you cross state lines OR if you have a gross weight rating of 17,000 pounds or more and you do not cross state lines.

Depending on whether you are hauling for interstate or intrastate commerce and the type of cargo you are hauling you may be required to apply for additional operating authorities such as a MC number or PA PUC Number.
Both of these authorites have individual requirements as well as specified insurance requirements for registration.
We can help you find out whether you need any addition operating authorities, help you through the process of applying, and make sure that you fulfill all necessary requirements for registration.

For trucks that run out of state, an IFTA permit is required and quarterly fuel tax reports must be filed. These permits need to be renewed each year by December 31st.
For trucks that stay just inside the state, a MCRT permit is required. Total miles traveled and fuel purchased are reported once a year on the renewal form. These permits also need to be renewed each year by December 31st.
