WHAT
IS IT?
The UCR is a fee that is required to be paid annually by any company that has an interstate US DOT number.
The fees vary depending on the amount of trucks you have and the fees can change from year to year. The UCR needs to be renewed each year by December 31st although in recent years the deadline has been changed due to a delay in the new fees being established for the coming year.

RATES
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced that Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) fees will increase by 25% in 2025, on average, for the registration year. The new fees will range from $46 for small fleets to $44,836 for the largest.
Following are the 2025 UCR rates along with our fees for processing:
Current Motor Carrier Rates(by num Trucks):
- 1-2 Trucks:$59 + TPTI processing fee of $66 = $135
- 3-5 Trucks:$138 + TPTI processing fee of $72 = $210
- 6-20 Trucks:$276 + TPTI processing fee of $74 = $350
- 21-100 Trucks:$963 + TPTI processing fee of $87 = $1050
- 101-1000 Trucks:$5,835 + TPTI processing fee of $95 = $5,930
- Over 1000 or more Trucks:$56,977 + TPTI processing fee of $123 = $57,100

UCR PAYMENT
When the UCR becomes due, Trucker's Paper Trail can take care of the payment for you for a small additional service fee. We just need your authorization and we can take care of the rest.
If you become a quarterly client with Trucker's Paper Trail, we will process your UCR payment at no additional charge! You also get all the benefits and services included with being one of our Quarterly clients!
